LNER has announced a one-off themed train service to celebrate the highly anticipated Oasis concert in London on 25 July 2025. Dubbed the “LNER She’s Electric” service, the 09:00 departure from Edinburgh Waverley to London King’s Cross will offer fans a unique and electrifying journey to the capital ahead of the Wembley show.
Operated by one of LNER’s modern Azuma electric trains, the service promises to be the most sustainable and convenient way for fans travelling from Edinburgh — and several other key stops along the East Coast route — to get to the gig. The train will stop at Newcastle, Durham, Darlington, Northallerton, York, Doncaster, Newark Northgate, and Peterborough, enabling fans across the route to join in the celebration.
LNER has hinted at a number of surprises on board the special service, designed to make passengers feel like true Rock ‘n’ Roll Stars. While full details haven’t been revealed, the journey is expected to feature themed entertainment and other Oasis-inspired touches.
The service pays homage to the band’s connection to London’s King’s Cross. Oasis’s debut London performance took place in a nearby pub, and their first single Supersonic was filmed on a rooftop in the area, with the station serving as a memorable backdrop.
Stuart Thomas, Communications Director at LNER, said: “There are plenty of Oasis fans at LNER and we couldn’t let the first London gig go off without marking the occasion. There will be a few surprises on board that will hopefully make our customers feel like a Rock N Roll Star, and while our trains might not be supersonic, they’ll whizz Oasis fans to London faster than a cannonball.”
Tickets for the service are on sale now.
