East Midlands Railway (EMR) has launched Advance Purchase fares on the Robin Hood Line, enabling passengers to travel between Nottingham and Worksop for as little as £2.60.
The introduction of Advance Purchase tickets means customers can now save money by booking their journey several weeks in advance, with tickets available up to 12 weeks before travel and as late as the day prior, depending on availability.
The tickets are designed to encourage travel during quieter, off-peak times, easing congestion on peak services and offering greater value to customers planning their journeys ahead of time.
Jenna Cowie, Acting Commercial Director at EMR, said: “We are excited to launch Advance Purchase fares on the Robin Hood Line. We hope these cheaper tickets will be popular with people visiting Nottingham or travelling on the route to attractions such as Creswell Crags or Newstead Abbey.”
Advance Purchase tickets are valid for single journeys and require customers to travel on the specific train and date stated on the ticket. If a customer misses their scheduled service, a new ticket must be purchased.
