Join us on Saturday, 30th November 2024 for a unique day of laughs, socialising, and festive cheer! Whether you're a railway professional or an enthusiast, this is your chance to experience something truly special.
Event Highlights:
Drive a Class 144 Pacer DMU (No. 144017)
Take the controls of a preserved ex-British Rail Pacer on the internal railway system of British Steel Scunthorpe, hosted by the Appleby Frodingham Railway. During your hour long driving experience, you’ll drive around 15 miles around the site, changing ends multiple times.
Christmas Drinks & Social Gathering
After the train driving experience, unwind with festive drinks and connect with fellow rail staff and enthusiasts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Location: Appleby Frodingham Railway - Scunthorpe
Time: 1 hour slots from 9am. Spaces are limited so if you need a specific timeslot please arrange this in advance.
The Appleby Frodingham Railway Society (AFR-S) is a volunteer-run charitable organization committed to preserving railway heritage.
