£68,449.50 at Lumo vs £77,566.00 at Avanti.

Travel facilities are the same except Lumo get free travel on Northern between Newcastle to Morpeth.

I think they will struggle for drivers in London to begin with, apart from those desperate to leave where they currently are. The way they will retain drivers will be by doing what they have done at Newcastle and improving work content and treating people like adults.

If they decide to act like any other TOC - I suspect staff will vote with their feet.

I’d agree they will struggle in London as there is more competition for drivers, whereas that’s much less the case in Newcastle.
