
Greater Anglia, the East Anglian train operator, has secured a silver accreditation from Inclusive Employers, recognising its commitment to workplace inclusivity and diversity.
Inclusive Employers, the UK’s foremost membership organisation dedicated to promoting inclusive workplaces, highlighted Greater Anglia’s substantial efforts in enhancing gender diversity among train drivers and leadership roles. The accolade particularly praised the company’s proactive engagement with employees through annual surveys, interactive events, and peer recognition initiatives.
The Inclusive Employers report emphasised Greater Anglia’s robust internal communication systems, easy-to-access operational and HR policies, and effective leadership training. The report specifically commended regular dialogue between frontline staff and senior management, fostering open communication channels that significantly improve employee experiences.
Recommendations for further advancement included enhancing data collection processes and collaborating with external organisations to share and adopt best practices. Greater Anglia was also encouraged to continue developing its four established colleague network groups, covering LGBTQ+, gender, disability, and religion & ethnicity.
