Local rail operator Trenitalia c2c has announced that urgent maintenance and repair works will be conducted on the booking hall roof at Rainham station during March and April.
Following a recent inspection revealing the necessity of immediate repairs, contractors have already commenced work. The project is expected to last four to six weeks. During this time, station users may experience limited or changed access to the ticket office, gate lines, and waiting areas. Additionally, passenger toilets at the station will be closed for the duration of these works.
“Safety remains our top priority, and we apologise for any inconvenience these urgent repairs may cause. Please monitor our website and social media for the latest updates.”
Rob Mullen, Managing Director at c2c
Alongside roof repairs, improvements to lighting in Rainham station’s main car park are also underway, reducing available parking spaces significantly for approximately two weeks. Passengers should consult the c2c website at https://www.c2c-online.co.uk/stations/rainham-essex-station/ for current parking availability and alternative options at nearby stations before travelling.
