The iconic No. 60103 Flying Scotsman will be steaming its way to the Nene Valley Railway in early 2025 as part of the “Rail 200” commemorations. Passengers can look forward to riding behind this famous locomotive on February 22 and 23, as well as March 1, 2, 8, and 9.
Fans of heritage rail will also have opportunities to enjoy three special evening dining trains and a dedicated photo charter, during which Flying Scotsman will haul a freight train for the first time since 1994. Additionally, on select dates throughout February and March, visitors can purchase footplate tickets to step onboard this remarkable locomotive.
This visit has been arranged thanks to Northern Steam Limited and the National Railway Museum. Future appearances of Flying Scotsman will be announced as details of its schedule become available.
